Hi Angie! I’m in my 30s and start having wrinkles on the forehead. Does Differin work well for these wrinkles? Also, does it help tighten pores?

  Differin is thought to work for anti-aging but it needs more research to really prove it and show how it works so it can probably help with your forehead wrinkles, I don’t know if it does anything for pores.

Love, love, love these videos & the blog! Thanks for all you do!! I wanted to share my favorite sunscreen: Josie Maran Argan Daily Moisturizer SPF 47 w/natural broad spectrum. I use Tretinoin & my skin is always parched already, so I have never found a sunscreen that is moisturizing enough & doesn’t inflame my skin. And I’ve never find a separate combo of moisturizer & sunscreen that work for me. So this one is perfect for me. I seldom wear make up in the day time, so I can’t speak to that, but it’s great on it’s own & doesn’t make my face white or ashy. Thanks!

Hi Angie, Thank you so much for the great information! Your blog is the best and only one that I continually follow and take guidance from. Thanks to you I have fortified my use of sunscreen and have been using tretinoin and Vitamin C. Great tip about the Differing gel!!!!

Would love to see you do a special report for hands. I use tretinoin, C — same routine as my face — but would love to know if there are any products or techniques that work especially well for the backs of hands.

I have been using the Nuface mini micro current device for about eight months. Would love to see you do a review of this product.

Your skin so beautiful. Im so jealous you have great result from retin a .
I used retin a about 4months and I passed ugly stage but I notice my pore looks really larger and scars looks deeper .
I read forum and some people have problem like me . I had to stop using retin a because people said my forehead and nose pore looks really bad . 🙁
Do you have same experience like me? I’m wondering if I use longer retin a maybe my pores are going to get smaller?
After I stop using retin a my pore got normal but my wrinkles came back again.
If you had same problem like me please share the story . Thanks – ur biggest fan from Korea

I want to thank you for your great advice, been following you for a year and my skin is so much healthier since then!
I live in Costa Rica and have had big trouble finding a vitamin C serum, and since it’s so unstable it’s hard to bring form the US. The only vitamin c serum you can buy here is by Sesderma, I wanted to know if you have an opinion on this product, i am actually using the C-Vit intensive serum with 12% of ascorbic acid. They recommend this product to be used for an intensive treatment, not daily, but I was wondering if you think it may be used daily.
They also have a vitamin c serum for daily use but it only has 2% of ascorbic acid.
I’m not sure which one would be better to use on a daily base and will love to hear your opinion on it.

Dear Angie,

You are my skincare idol! I just turned 30 so I know we differ in skin care stages but I’m starting to look down the road. I’m starting to see very fine lines around my mouth that stay for a few seconds after I smile. I was told that I should start retinol treatments in my mid-20’s to early 30’s so I started using retinol creams last January. It’s been a year now. I’ve only used over the counter treatments so far (Roc and Paula’s choice). I don’t go out in the sun much, I work in an office so exposure to UV isn’t a huge concern for me.

If you could go back in time, what would you tell your younger self to protect her skin and keep wrinkles at bay?

What do you think is the best retinol cream that’s over the counter? So far the two that I have tried I like (Paula’s choice and Roc).

How do you know when it’s time to bump up to a prescription strength treatment?

And last but not least, a troubleshooting question: My nightly routine consists of cleansing my face with Olay cleansing brush, witch hazel toner, Clinique dark spot corrector, Retinol serum (Paula’s Choice for my face, Roc for my neck), Mad Hippie vitamin C serum, then Garnier Ultra Lift moisturizing cream to finish. My problem is, after I apply the moisturizing cream, the product starts to pill on my face into little balls, is this lifting off all of the products I have just put on? Is this normal? Should I omit the moisturizing part until the morning?

  My #1 message to my younger self would be to wear sunscreen every day all year round, indoors & out, rain or shine, summer & winter. Being in an office does not protect you from UVA rays which cause skin aging and skin cancer. The UVA rays come through clouds and glass and bounce off reflective surfaces so they hit you twice. If you’re using a retinoid and vitamin c serum, you’re actually doing more damage than good by not wearing sunscreen during the day. Both products cause the outer protective layer of skin (the stratum corneum) to thin giving your skin less natural protection from the sun. There’s a new OTC retinoid called Differin that used to be prescription only so if you’re looking for something stronger than OTC retinol you could give it a try. On the moisturizer balling up, you probably just need to switch to a different brand, it may take some trial & error to find the right one. Happy anti-aging!

Hi Angie! Thanks for all you do! Wanted to share my dermatologists best skincare products picks in link below. My favorite mineral sunscreen to put on when I’m not ready for makeup but going outside is her number one pick! Dermaquest Sheer Zinc SPF 30 tinted sunscreen. I like in nude but it comes in clear and sun kissed. High zinc, evens out skin tone and doesn’t move around. Caitlin, Seattle.

Hi Angie – I just started viewing your videos which I think are great. A few questions, how come you didn’t like juvaderm? I’ve been doing chemical peels but I really need a lift around my mouth area. Very nervous about using any types of injectables. Have you tried facial smoothies?

I have been following you for some time now. I can see the changes in my skin just by following some of your routines. I have a question, so far I’ve been able to find many of the products you wear but I cannot for the life of me find the hydropeptide solar defense sunscreen. I’ve tried department stores, the web and now the link you provided and nothing….any suggestions???? Does anyone out there know where I can purchase this sunscreen ????

I’m a fairly new follower of yours! Thanks for all the work you to do to help us stay beautiful. I appreciate it!

A couple of summers ago I was in Europe and needed sunscreen and I bought a product line called Roche-Posay and loved it. When I got home and ran out, I looked into ordering it online but since then Walgreen’s has started carrying it!!! I was hoping to get your feedback as you know more about the chemicals/ingredients in products than I do. I know they have a tinted facial sunscreen which I haven’t yet tried. It has products that the FDA doesn’t yet support their claims but apparently Europeans do. That’s all I know but again would love your feedback. Best wishes in 2017 with your beauty reviews.

  Hi Angela~ La Roche Posay brand has been here in the US for a few years. You can find it at Walgreens, CVS, Ulta etc. I’ve used a few of their products and they seem good in general. I don’t recommend their tinted mineral sunscreen because it only uses 1 sunscreening ingredient so it doesn’t screen the entire UVA spectrum. The non-tinted mineral sunscreen is a good one.

Thanks Angie. Been watching you for a year now and you have given me courage. I’ve been using 1% retinol for a year and I do see changes for the better — not fast enough but coming just the same. I’ve tried so many of the things you’ve suggested from makeup to clothing and have enjoyed every minute of you sharing it with me. You must have so many friends who are lucky enough to have your advice all the time. I look forward to all of your videos — kind of like a little vacation for me. Hi Angie–Have been reading your blog for awhile now and I think you do a wonderful job! My question-my derm suggested Fraxel for the vertical lines around my upper lip. Do you have an opinion about this? I have NO experience with lasers and would really appreciate your thoughts. Thank you!

  I had a Fraxel Dual treatment last January and it was great for my skin, especially the spots and was somewhat effective on wrinkles. There are a few different kinds of fraxel so it depends on which one your doctor’s recommending. Hi Angie! Thanks again for all you do!! I am completely obsessed with your YouTube channel !! I have learned so much ! Question: I’m 44 years old and I’ve never done any prescription face creams or anti-aging face creams before for now. I was thinking of trying the CeraVe renewal serum instead of starting on retinol just yet but now you’re talking about Differin. Would I use the CeraVe serum and Differin together or just one or another? Which would you recommend ? Or should I skip those both altogether and go straight to my dermatologist and start retinol?? So confused- my skin is very nice and I have very few wrinkles but I want to be proactive. I so appreciate your opinion and thank you again for everything that you do.   Thanks so much Jacquee! I was still really happy with my skin when I was 44 too, but the changes happen fast after you hit menopause. If i had it to do over again, I’d start on Differin (if it was available back then). Be sure to also wear sunscreen every day if you start any retinoid. Good luck! ~Angie

    I was wondering if you perhaps know when to choose between Differin or a Retin A (0,05 or 0,1%). And would you choose for Differin gel of -cream?

        If you have a choice between Retin-A and Differin, I’d use Retin-A (Tretinoin) since it has 30 years of research behind it specifically for anti-aging. Differin is not exactly the same and hasn’t been studied as much, but it shows promise in the studies that have been done. If you can’t get Retin-A then I’d say Differin is the next best thing.

  Sure Barbara~ Baking is putting a heavy coating of setting powder over foundation, letting it sit for 5 minutes (the idea being that the heat of your skin “bakes” it), and then you brush it away. Hi Angie – Thank you for this great, informative video! I learn so much from you! I get so many compliments on my 65-year old face, thanks to you; I’m looking young for my age! But, Help! My hands look older than my face, even though I have had laser treatments to zap the age spots, and try to remember to use sunscreen everyday. Do you have a video or suggestions on how to reverse the wrinkles and “veiny” appearance? I want my hands to look like yours!
