My Year End Round-Up of the Best SKINCARE for Mature Skin! Topicals, Devices, & Tweakments!

#1: ANGIE’S ACTIVES
For me, the best new product of 2025 was, of course, the launch of my own skincare brand, Angie’s Actives. The two Angie’s Actives products have really enabled me to streamline my OTC skincare routine down from eight different products to just two products a day. And while I loved my old skincare routine, I started getting tired of having to buy so many different products and having to time-consumingly apply them every morning and night. I wanted to simplify my skincare routine without having to sacrifice any ingredients. Which is why I incorporated 13 of the over-the-counter ingredients that I used in my previous skincare routine into my All-In Serum and Active8 Lotion.
All-In Vitamin C + Lactic Loaded Serum
My All-In Serum is a multi-acid vitamin C and lactic acid serum that contains 20% ascorbic acid. Ascorbic acid is the most effective version of vitamin C because it is a precursor for collagen production and helps your skin generate new collagen. This one product can replace 3-4 products in your skincare routine:
- Vitamin C Serum
- AHA (lactic acid or glycolic acid) Serum
- Resveratrol Serum
- Hyaluronic Acid Serum
This is a beautiful serum that is very lightweight, but not watery, so it doesn’t slip through your fingers before being able to apply it. I use this product once a day and apply it first in my morning routine. Overall the All-In is a great serum, especially for the low cost of just $29.
Active8 Peptide + Antioxidant Loaded Lotion
My other product is the Active8 lotion. This product is a hydrating lotion that packs 8 wrinkle-reducing, plumping, firming, and energizing ingredients into 1 bottle. This one product can replace up to six products in your skincare routine:
- Peptide Serum or Lotion
- Niacinamide Lotion
- Ceramide Lotion
- Green Tea Toner
- Hyaluronic Acid Serum
- CoQ10 Serum
Active8 feels great on and absorbs beautifully into the skin. I use this product both in the morning, after applying the All-In Serum, and at night, and it costs only $39.
To get the same 13 ingredients found in the All-In Serum and Active8 Lotion, you would have to buy about 8 separate products which would costs around $178. Whereas, my Powerhouse Bundle includes both the All-In Serum and Active8 Lotion and costs only $68, saving you about $110.
I feel as though with these two products I really achieved my goal of creating a simplified yet effective skincare routine that is also affordable. Thank you to everyone who has purchased or left a positive review, I love hearing how it has really changed your life and your skincare for the better. And if you haven’t I really hope you give them a try.
#2: PETER THOMAS ROTH INSTANT FIRMX FORMULA
My second favorite skincare product of 2025 is the Peter Thomas Roth Instant FirmX Temporary Eye Tightener EasyWear Formula. This is a temporary skin tightener and wrinkle reducer. It’s not “skincare” in the sense that it will absorb in and improve skin over time but it does work really well at making skin look smoother temporarily.
In one video, I used it under my eyes, and it worked really well. Where it really impressed me was on my neck! It reduced the horizontal neck wrinkles and crepiness even when used over skincare and sunscreen! It made me feel much more confident about my neck wrinkles.
I also had my mom model this product, she’s 88 and it worked amazing. It completely got rid of the wrinkles on her upper lip, a scar on her eyelid, her eye-bags, and her 11s.

Some of the most frequently asked questions I received were “how long does it last?” and “can you use it with makeup?”
- The answer to the former is about 4 to 5 hours, but that it is dependent on how much the skin moves in the applied area. This is definitely a great product for a wedding, a party, or even just going out with your girlfriends and you want your wrinkles to look a bit better.
- To answer the latter is, it doesn’t work as well under makeup. The product has to dry and form a film over the wrinkles, but once you put something wet on over it that disrupts the film then the effect goes away. While I didn’t notice the effect going fully away when makeup was applied, I’d say it reduces it by about half.
- I also noted that this is better used over makeup than under makeup and I tend to use it on places that I wear little to no makeup, like my neck. I have used this product over sunscreen and skincare and find that it works great over both.
#3: ALLOY M4 EYE & FACE CREAMS
My third best skin care product of 2025 is the M4 Eye Cream from Alloy. I’ve previously talked about the Alloy M4 Face Cream in my favorite skincare products of 2024 video, so I’m going to touch on it a bit here too. Both of these products are prescription estrogen creams that utilize a form of estrogen called estriol. Estriol works by binding to estrogen receptors in the skin and increasing collagen and elastin production. Once postmenopausal the skin becomes estrogen deprived, and our eyes are the area that starts to show the signs of aging first. We get those crepey lines at the inner corner, crows feet at the outer corner, and our eyelids can get saggy. The M4 eye cream is 1% estriol while the face cream is only 0.3% estriol. The percentage of estriol in the M4 Eye Cream is so much higher than the face cream that it’s helps improve the eye area so much more than just the face cream alone.
I’ve been using the M4 Eye Cream for about 3 months now and I really love it. This product is so creamy and emollient, and I only need the tiniest dab underneath my eyes and on my eyelids. I then use the M4 face cream on my neck and the rest of my face. I love that both of these products are so non-sensitizing and give me zero irritation even on the first day of use. Which is amazing because some skincare products like tretinoin need a long time to work up to using it regularly and can still be a little irritating.
While you can’t get these products over the counter, Alloy makes it so easy to get a prescription. All you need to do is fill out a form about your skin on their website, a doctor then fills your prescription based on your needs, and it’s shipped right to your house in a three-month supply. With code FLASHY you can get $20 off when you sign up for prescription skincare. And if you want to check out Alloy for any other prescriptions including haircare, weight-loss, or menopause treatments you can get $10 off with code Angie10 here: Alloy
#4: RED LIGHT THERAPY MASKS
In 2025 red light therapy really became all the rave because it helps to increase collagen production and density, bring more blood flow to the skin, and firms the skin. But with so many different red light masks on the market I sought out to answer some of your most asked questions:
- Which masks have I tried?
- Which mask is a good fit for me?
- And, of course, the most asked question: What is THE best red light therapy mask?
I’ve done in depth reviews on most of the masks on the market, so I’m going to try to give you some qualifiers to help you pick which mask is going to be right for you.
CurrentBody Series 2 Red Light Therapy Mask
As of right now, my favorite is the Series 2 Red Light Therapy Face Mask from Current Body. It’s one of the only masks with both the highest number of lightbulbs and the most accurate wavelengths in it.
The Current Body has 110 each of the red and near-infrared bulbs, as well as 16 deep infrared bulbs. Every mask has been factory tested to be within 2 nanometers (nm) of the correct target wavelength. A good red light mask really needs to concentrate on the accuracy of the bulbs to start and then the number of bulbs, which this one does.
I really like how this mask is shaped as it is very comfortable to wear. It also has eye protection built in, along with an under the chin strap to treat that area as well. I will say that this mask is very, very bright, so if you are sensitive to light this might not be the mask for you.
If this does sound like the mask for you, you can use code ANGIE for 10% off at the following links: US & Canada: https://tidd.ly/4byf2GC UK & IE: https://tidd.ly/43rRMs0
IRestore Illumina Neck & Chest Mask
I wanted to mention the IRestore Neck & Chest mask because I currently have been using it and I really love it for so many different reasons:
- 115 Bulbs: Great coverage compared to other masks
- Wavelengths: 633 nm red light and 830 nm near infrared light
- Bigger in Size: Covers more area and has more bulbs around the side of the neck than other masks
Rajani MD PlasmaGlo Mask
The face mask that is second for best skincare of 2025 is the Rajani MD PlasmaGlo mask. This mask comes flat but it has a strap that goes under the chin, as well as bulbs above the lip area.
The Rajani mask doesn’t have nearly the number of bulbs or the accuracy of the Current Body, but it is a pretty good mask. It has 234 total bulbs with 78 of each:
- Red light bulbs: wavelength 630 nm
- Near-infrared bulbs: wavelength 830 nm
- Blue light bulbs: wavelength 415 nm
Blue light is used to treat acne so if you’re not struggling with acne, I would put your money towards the more accurate bulbs of the Current Body. But if this does seem like the right mask for you, you can get 15% off with code ANGIE15: https://rstr.co/rajanimdskincare/4688/ncz
Omnilux Contour Face Mask
The third red light therapy mask on my best skincare of 2025 list is the OmniLux Contour Face mask. This is an awesome mask especially if you are concerned about melasma, too much light, or if the lights of other masks tend to be too bright for you.
OmniLux as a company did most of the research into red light therapy so their bulbs are very accurate and they make the professional arrays used in dermatology offices. Red light therapy has to be used very precisely for it to give you the changes in your skin that you want without producing changes in your skin that you don’t want, and the OmniLux mask achieves that. However, this mask only has about half as many bulbs as other masks, with 66 each of the red and near-infrared bulbs.

It is still a good quality mask that I personally saw great results with after 90 days and have continued to use it over the last 5 years. If the OmniLux is the mask for you it can be purchased at the following link and use code HF10 for 10% off: https://bit.ly/3FRxRmV
#5: MINERAL SUNSCREENS
Next in best skincare of 2025 is, of course, sunscreen! I did my yearly mineral sunscreen testing video back in May and tested about 20 to 30 different sunscreens. I recommend watching that whole video because I’m only going to talk about my favorites here and the sunscreen for you might be one of the other ones I tested.
Kopari Bright As Day Sunscreen
The winner of my 2025 sunscreen testing video was the Kopari Bright As Day Sheer Mineral Sunscreen. This is a beautiful tinted mineral sunscreen with a chemical booster that gets the SPF up to 50.
It’s a really lightweight, fluid lotion that just glides on the skin and dries really quickly. This sunscreen also looks great under makeup because it isn’t greasy or heavy and it doesn’t leave a white cast.
ChroMat Ray Reverse Sunscreen
A second runner up was the ChroMat Ray Reverse Sheer Mineral Sunscreen. Like the Kopari this is also an SPF 50 tinted mineral sunscreen with a chemical booster.
This sunscreen feels great on the skin because it’s not heavy or greasy. It’s also not drying to the skin making it great to use under makeup. It does give your skin a little bit of a tint, but it’s very pretty and subtle. You can use code Angie10 for 10% off your entire order whether its just Ray Reverse or another product from the ChroMat skincare line: https://chromatskincare.com/
Mineral Sunscreens WITHOUT Chemical Boosters
For those of you that are looking for an all mineral sunscreen with no chemical boosters, then my two favorites are the Healthy Skin Lab Protect SPF 50 and the DRMTLGY Physical Tinted SPF 44 sunscreens.
These are both really amazing sunscreens that look and feel so nice on. The DRMTLGY sunscreen is about half the price of the Healthy Skin Lab sunscreen and you can get it for an additional 20% off with code ANGIE20 using the link: https://bit.ly/3wncxTm
#6: DOUBLE CLEANSING
For those of you that might not know, I do a double cleansing routine every night, which consists of two steps:
- Oil-based Cleanser: Dissolves impurities such as makeup, sunscreen, and built up sebum.
- Water-based Cleanser: Removes sweat, dirt, and any remaining oil residue.
I’ve found this to be the most effective way to wash the day away and in 2025 I found my two absolute favorite double cleansing products.
Oil-Based Cleanser: Remedy Cleansing Balm
My absolute holy grail and favorite oil-based cleanser is the Remedy Derm Dissolve Cleansing Balm. Remedy Skincare is a brand that was started by two dermatologists, Dr. Shah and Dr. Maxfield, who have a YouTube channel called Doctorly. I tried this balm recently and it became an instant favorite!
What I love most about this product is the hygienic dispenser. It shaves some of the balm up for you to scoop off the top, thus eliminating any possible contamination. This balm takes off my waterproof eyeliner, my tubing mascara, all my tenacious sunscreen, and makeup in just one easy step.
Water-Based Cleanser: Prequel Gleanser
For my second cleansing step, I love using the Prequel Gleanser Non-Drying Glycerin Cleanser. I love this as a second cleanse because it’s so hydrating and so soothing. It doesn’t have any hidden irritants in it like fragrance or acids.
This product also works fabulously with the Remedy cleansing balm, so if you’re looking for a great double cleanse routine, give these two a try.
#7: TREE HUT OVERNIGHT LIP MASK
Another of my favorite skincare products of 2025 is the Tree Hut Overnight Lip Mask. Surprisingly I like this lip mask better than the Laneige Lip Mask which has been my go-to for some time now. The Tree Hut mask keeps my lips nice and moisturized overnight, and it also comes in amazing scents like vanilla, watermelon, and strawberry.
What I really love about this product is the price point. It’s usually about $10 on Amazon but right now it’s 50% off and only $5, whereas the Laneige is $24. However, the Laneige is slightly bigger with 0.7 oz a pot vs the Tree Hut with 0.6 oz a pot.
#8: NIRA PRECISION & PRO LASERS
Similar to red light therapy, at home lasers were trending in 2025, thus making their way into my best of skincare list. The lasers that I use are the NIRA lasers. Lasers work by heating your skin just below the level of heat shock where collagen production is increased. They help to increase collagen production in your skin as we know is the name of the game in anti-aging skincare.
The NIRA Precision Laser is a great laser especially if you are mainly concerned with treating wrinkles and sagging around your eyes. The other one I like is the NIRA Pro Laser. This one has a much larger opening, so it’s great to use on the rest of your face and your entire neck. I use both of these alternating them every other night.
#9: NUFACE MICROCURRENT TECHNOLOGY
My favorite product that utilizes microcurrent technology is the NuFace Trinity+ Microcurrent Facial Sculpting Device. I use the NuFace every other morning and I alternate it with my red light mask.
The way microcurrent technology works is by increases ATP in the skin, which is your skin’s energy currency. Skin that has more energy can do more. It can make more collagen and elastin, and fight off the everyday stressors that our skin comes in contact with. I’ve found it also helps to give me a temporary lifting and firming of my skin right after use.
#10: IN-OFFICE PROCEDURES
As far as in-office procedures, I only went in for a little bit of Botox as usual. I don’t like that permanent etched in angry look between my eyebrows, so I do continue to get Botox there. I didn’t have any filler this year, which I haven’t had for about seven years now. The last time I got filler was in my lips and it lasted 9 months to a year. I feel like I’ve gotten away from the procedures the last couple of years and have been concentrating on at home devices and skincare. However, I am open to getting an in-office procedure done in 2026 and want to know what procedures you interested in? Or what new devices and gadgets are you interested in that I can maybe get a hold of and try for us this year?
