e.l.f. Cosmetics ~ Product Reviews
I picked up a few products from super inexpensive makeup brand e.l.f. (eyes lips face) Cosmetics over the summer and wanted to show them to you. If you’re unfamiliar with the brand, they’re available at Target, TJ Maxx, and Marshall’s as well as on the elf website: http://www.eyeslipsface.com. Most of the individual products retail from $1-$5 and I find the quality to be just as good as some of the high end makeup lines costing 10X as much.
e.l.f. Nice & Natural Nail Polish Set
I got this set of 3 polishes at TJ Maxx for $4.99. Smoky Brown is my favorite, followed by Innocent, and the Nude is ok, but I’m just not a big fan of nude nail polish. I wore them all together on alternating nails and it looked great! The brown covered in one coat and it took 2 coats for the lighter colors to cover. It wore as well as any home polish does, looking good for 3 days, then starting to chip off on the 4th day.
e.l.f. Mineral Blemish Powder
I was trying to stay away from liquid silicone based concealers that contain salisylic acid, so when I saw this in the check out line at TJ Maxx, I grabbed it. This mineral powder concealer contains sulpher to heal blemishes. It’s good to use on no makeup days, but the coverage is too sheer to use when you want blemishes completely concealed. The yellow tint counteracts the redness in pimples.
e.l.f. Daily Moisture Stick
This was recommended by emilynoelle83 on youtube for freshening under eyes late in the day. I haven’t gotten much use out of it since it’s summer, but I’ll keep it in my purse for winter and I’m sure it’ll come in handy. I’ve used it to sheer out powder foundation that’s gone on too cakey for a more natural look.
e.l.f. Makeup Remover Pen
I have a bad habit of poking myself in the eye with the mascara wand and getting mascara on my lids and under my eyes, so this pen allows me to quickly and easily remove unwanted marks without spoiling the rest of my makeup. Use it sparingly though as it can leave a residue. The tip can be removed and reversed when one side gets stained and dried out.
e.l.f. Primer & Liner Sealer
The Liner Sealer is the reason I bought this product at Target. You can use it to make any eyeshadow into waterproof liquid liner! You just dip the brush tip into eyeliner and apply like liquid liner. Brilliant!! The primer doesn’t dry down as matte as I like, so it’s just okay.
