Early Spring Outfit Ideas | Cotton Sweaters, Jeans, & A Great Trench!

Recently I was looking for some nice, natural cotton knit sweaters that I could wear for late winter into early spring. I started my search at Quince.com, and to my pleasant surprise found not only some great sweaters but also a whole cart full of clothes. So, I decided to do a little Quince try on haul and create some everyday and more dressy outfits with the pieces I found.

OUTFIT 1

For my first outfit, I paired this Cotton Crewneck Sweater with the Luna Straight Leg Jeans. This sweater is 100% organic cotton, has a little bit of a ribbing to it, and a nice crew neck. This sweater retails for $39.99 and comes in seven colors, I’ve got the color Ivory. I’m wearing a size small and it’s pretty boxy so I styled it with a half tuck into the jeans. The Luna Straight Leg jeans are made of stretch denim so they’re very comfortable to sit, walk, or do just about anything in. They only come in one inseam length, 28 in., which is a little cropped on me (I’m 5’7″), but they look cute with a pair of booties. They cost $50 and come in three colors, I’m wearing Cool Blue.

OUTFITS 2 & 3

For the second and third outfits, I styled this Waffle Stitch Open Front Cardigan with the Luna Jeans and the Ponte Flair Leg Pants respectively. This cardigan is also 100% organic cotton but it doesn’t have any buttons or zipper on the front. The edges of the sweater are very clean with a really nice ribbing while the rest of the sweater has a waffle stitch, which makes for a really interesting contrast. This cardigan is $49.90 and it comes in three colors, I’m wearing Heather Dove Grey in size XS. I love it with the Luna Jeans, but I also love it with these Ponte Flair Leg Pants. They are a dupe for the Spanx pants that cost $168, but these are only $44.90 and come in five colors, I’m wearing black in XS. These pants fit so beautifully, the fabric holds in your tummy, lifts your booty and smooths everything out making you look so good.

OUTFIT 4

I also picked up this 100% European Linen Jacket and paired with the Luna Jeans, my favorite tank top for layering, and booties to create this outfit. It’s a crop style jackets that I think this is so cute and perfect for spring layering. I love that it has working pockets on the front which is always an added bonus. This jacket is $70 and comes in five different colors, I’m wearing the color Bayberry Olive in XS.

OUTFIT 5

I’ve been looking for a good trench coat for a few years now so I got this beautiful and really versatile Stretch Crepe Trench Coat. I’m not big on all the trench details and the stiff trench fabric that they normally come in, so this one being stretchy was right up my alley. You can wear it everyday with the Luna Jeans or you can dress it up and wear it to the office with the Ponte Pants. It is a little more expensive at $100, but it’s such a versatile classic that it can be worn for years and years to come. I love this trench coat and it comes in four different colors, I’m wearing Morel in XS.

OUTFITS 6 & 7

I wanted to try something from Quince’s 100% washable silk line, so I got this Silk Maxi Skirt. This skirt is so beautiful and looks so elegant and elevated. I love the maxi length for this time of year because I can wear a short booty with it and it looks really stylish. This skirt costs $79.90 and comes in eight different colors, I’m wearing Morel Grey in XS. I styled it with the 100% Cotton V-Neck Sweater, which is very similar to the first sweater, but is a V-neck instead of a crew neck. This sweater is $49.90 and comes in six colors, I’m wearing Ivory in S. I love the silk skirt with the chunky cotton sweater look, but you can also wear it with a more fitted top and the Crepe Trench Coat and that makes a great outfit as well.

OUTFIT 8

I also bought this pair of 100% European Linen Pleated Trousers and I’ve got to say I’m a little disappointed in the fit on these. They are made beautifully, with pleating in the front that I think really looks great. These are fully lined, the linen is soft and gorgeous, but I’m just not loving the look of them from the back. The back has an elastic waist and I feel like it’s giving me a little bit of a diaper butt. I can probably still wear them if I wear a blazer that covers the butt, but with something cropped or the Crewneck Sweater from before it’s not my favorite look. While I’m not in love with these pants, the price point is great at $52 and they come in five colors, I’m wearing the color Flax in size 2.

OUTFIT 9

The last item I purchased in my Quince haul is the Ultra Form Active Dress. This is so adorable and really easy to put on. I like the length of the skirt because it’s a little bit longer than most of the other athletic dresses on the market. It has shorts attached underneath and there’s a pocket on the side of the shorts for your cell phone or tennis/pickle balls making it stylish and functional. This dress is $44.90 and comes in seven different colors, I’m wearing it in the color Black in small.
