Easy Instant Eyelid Lift Without Surgery!
If you have hooded eyelids that with age have become saggy and crepey, then you know how hard it can be to look as awake as you feel. You also know the frustration of applying eye shadow just to have it swallowed up by sagging skin. So, if you’re up for an experiment, join me for this tutorial on how to do an easy instant eyelid lift without surgery!
This would have never occurred to me to try, but I’ve watched quite a few videos of asian women creating a double eyelid using eyelash glue and a bobby pin. I figured it can’t hurt to give it a try, and if it works. . . all the better!
Here’s what you need:
Step 1: Apply eye makeup before gluing eyelid! Use the open end of the bobby pin to test where you’ll place the glue. Gently push the eyelid skin up and in using the eyeball as a guide.
Step 2: Apply dots of eyelash adhesive above the crease with one tine of the bobby pin.
Step 3: Working quickly, spread the glue between the dots, being careful not to blink or close the eye.
Step 4: Wipe excess glue off bobby pin and use both tongs to push the eyelid skin up and in, holding in place to form a higher crease.
Step 5: Gently remove the bobby pin and repeat pushing as needed to achieve the desired effect. Then repeat on the other eye.
I’ve tried this technique a few times with mixed results. In general it looks good when my eyes are open, but I can’t seem to get the crease to be 100% smooth, so when I blink it looks a little funky. There are kits available on line that may produce better results, but my advice would be to practice this a few times before you use it in real life.
Once set, the glue is waterproof so it lasts all day (mine wore for 13 hours). To remove, wet a q-tip with makeup remover and gently rub it along the crease until the glue releases, then use q-tip to roll the glue up and peel away.
