Come along with me on a trip through my trash can!
These are the products I’ve used up in the last month or so. . . they’re all faves and have already been repurchased.
I use this soap-free body wash every day so I go through a lot of it! It comes in a big 23 ounce bottle that lasts for a couple months. It moisturizes while it cleans, leaving my skin feeling comfortable and smooth, never tight and rough, and at $6, it’s very easy on the wallet.
Olay Quench Ultra Moisture is my year-round daily body lotion because it contains shea butter, vitamin e and niacinamide (my current fave skincare ingredient) to moisturize and help improve skin’s moisture barrier. Niacinamide has been shown in clinical trials to lighten discolorations, reduce wrinkles, and improve elasticity so I love it that it’s the 3rd ingredient in this lotion! It’s smooth silky consistency glides over skin and absorbs quickly.
This has been my go-to shampoo for over a year! I still try other shampoos, but I keep coming back to Marc Anthony. The keratin seems to really penetrate my hair and help to calm my frizz. I have damaged color treated hair and it really helps to reduce frizz and it leaves it feeling like hair (which is rare)!!
I’ve had this heat protectant for a long time and I thought it was discontinued so I was using it sparingly to make it last. I finally used the last spritz, but fortunately I found it on drugstore.com (where I also get my Marc Anthony shampoo)! Other heat protectors can leave my hair feeling stiff and Guardian Angel protects to 425 degrees and leaves my hair soft (as long as I don’t use too much).
I buy these wipes in a giant box from Costco. They gently wipe away makeup without alcohol or harsh chemicals. These super soft wipes contain cucumber, chamomile flower extract, aloe, and vitamin E to moisturize and soothe while gently removing makeup including waterproof mascara.
Witch hazel’s been around forever but most witch hazel toners are loaded with alcohol. I searched high and low to find an alcohol-free version. Thayer’s Witch Hazel is alcohol free and contains glycerin and aloe to moisturize and soothe. Witch hazel is an anti-oxidant so it fights free radicals while healing damaged skin. I wet a cotton round with this toner and sweep over my face to remove last traces of makeup. The cucumber scent is cool and refreshing!
I’ve been using this serum since the beginning of time because of it’s great ingredients. Olay packs palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, niacinamide, glycerin, hyaluronic acid and vitamin E into this silky lightweight serum. I have this stockpiled in my bathroom closet so I’ll never run out!
I started taking this dietary supplement after Dr. Oz called it a “facelift in a bottle”, and while it wasn’t exactly a facelift, it did make my skin less dry during the winter (see post) so I continue to take them. Each bottle lasts a month so I’ve been buying 3 at a time just so I don’t have to order so often.
I tried Latisse and RapidLash in 2015, but I much prefer the results with Rapidlash (see post). I used it on my lashes and my brows and was shocked that it works as well as it does. My first tube lasted a full 4 months and I’m now onto my 2nd tube and still having great results. RapidLash is paraben and fragrance free, ophthalmologist and dermatologist tested, safe for contact lens wearers, and not tested on animals.
