Foundation Review ~ Estee Lauder Double Wear Light
Stats: Liquid foundation in a squeeze tube, $36 for 1 oz., no SPF, 6 shades
Claims: 15-hour wear, light as air. Goes on sheer, skin breathes all day, controls oil, resists smudging and won’t melt off in heat and humidity. Oil-free, non-acnegenic, fragrance-free, photo friendly.
Angie’s Test: This foundation provided sheer to medium coverage. I didn’t need to apply any concealer and it covered age spots thoroughly. It has a silky-smooth feel and glides on easily, blending effortlessly. It wore for 10+ hours, but did have t-zone oil breakthrough late in the day. It didn’t settle into pores or fine lines, and most importantly, it didn’t make my skin look worse! This was by far the best of the 5 high-end foundations I tried, and also the least expensive.
Phone Test: Did not stick to phone or leave any residue on the glass.
Teenage Daughter Test: Nice, looks good, best one.
