It’s that time of year again where I do my annual mineral sunscreen testing roundup for you! Over the course of the last 12 years I’ve tested almost 300 mineral sunscreens and this year I’ve added 15 new sunscreens to that list. I always post my results in May in honor of skin cancer awareness month because using sunscreen daily can actually reduce your risk of getting melanoma by 50%. Sunscreen is also the number one anti-aging skin care product that we can use because the rays of the sun cause 90% of the aging we see on our skin. Even when you think you’re protected those aging UVA rays are coming through the clouds or windows, hitting your skin and aging you. So, starting a habit of wearing sunscreen everyday is not only great for the appearance of your skin but also for the health of your skin.
WHY TEST MINERAL SUNSCREEN?
The reason I test mineral sunscreens is because the standard American chemical sunscreens tend to irritate my skin while mineral sunscreen does not. However, mineral sunscreens are tricky to formulate just right and a lot of times they leave a white cast, they’re greasy, or super shiny. I’m looking for a sunscreen that doesn’t do any of those naughty things and that looks great on my skin with or without makeup. So, yes, I am aware that this is a tall order. This is also about helping people find the perfect sunscreen for them. The sunscreens I test are from all different price points, are tinted and untinted, some contain chemical boosters, while others are 100% mineral. I’m 63 years old and have combo skin that is getting drier the older I get. I understand not everyone has this skin type, so I do my best to give insight on how a sunscreen would be on different skin types too. When using my reviews as a guide it’s important to remember that something that doesn’t work for me might work really well for you.
INFO ON CHEMICAL BOOSTERS
I think it’s important to recognize that for some mineral sunscreens to work well, they do need help from the addition of a chemical booster in the formula. A chemical, or SPF, booster is used in sunscreen to enhance the effectiveness of zinc oxide and/or titanium dioxide, which physically block and scatter both UVA and UVB rays. A lot of companies will advertise a sunscreen as “100% mineral,” but really they’re not if they contain a SPF boosters.
There are three that pop up amongst this years sunscreens. The first one is Butyloctyl Salicylate, which is the most common of the three. One related to that is Tridecyl Salicylate. These two, depending on how much is in a formula, can really irritate my skin. Then there’s a new one that came up this year called Ethylhexyl Methoxycrylene, which has a lower irritancy rating. This is not to say that chemical boosters are bad by any means, but I do want to recognize that they exist and the roles they play.
TESTING
When testing I make sure that the sunscreen is the only difference from test to test and that all other variables are controlled. You’ll see me in the testing video applying a quarter of a teaspoon of sunscreen for my face and neck. That’s because sunscreen is dose dependent and you need that much to get the SPF number on the label. In general, people wear about an eighth of the amount that they should, taking an SPF of 50 down to about an SPF of 8. I also make sure that I’m starting with a clean, dry face and the same skincare routine before applying the sunscreen. With all the sunscreens, I give them 20 minutes to dry back and set to see if any white cast will settle in or greasy feeling will go away. If a sunscreen gets a standalone rating below a three I don’t even bother trying it with makeup. But for the sunscreens with a three or above, I’ve used the same foundation over each one, which this year is Maybelline SuperStay Lumi Matte. It’s really long wearing on my skin and lasts a solid 10 hours over my current holy grail sunscreen, which is the Healthy Skin Labs Protect SPF 50. So, I’m looking for anything in this year’s group of sunscreens to match or beat the performance I get out of these two together.
HOLY GRAIL SUNSCREEN
Healthy Skin Lab Protect SPF 50
The Healthy Skin Lab Protect sunscreen was my 2024 Winner and is still my holy grail sunscreen that I compare all other sunscreens to. This is an easy to apply tinted lotion with a soft dewey finish that looks both great under makeup all day & as a stand alone tinted moisturizer! The tint is slightly dark for me but definitely wearable as it evens out my skin tone really beautifully. I like that I can wear this one on its own without having to put any makeup on over it for a no makeup day. If you’re interested you can watch my full review here!
- Price Point: $44 for 1.8 oz. ($24.44/oz)
- Active Ingredients: 10% Zinc Oxide, 5.5% Titanium Dioxide
- Hydrating: Yes
- White Cast: No
- Greasy Feeling: A Little, but it’s super hydrating
- Water Resistant: 80 Minutes
- Additional Points: Cruelty free, Fragrance free
- Set Back: One shade
- Where to Buy: Amazon
With Makeup: Makeup goes on looking just like it normally does. This sunscreen doesn’t change the look of the makeup or make it ball/pill.
4 Hour Check-in: The sunscreen-makeup combination still looks great and there was no settling in my wrinkles.
8 Hour Check-in: Perfection! It was not very worn off, there was no settling in the wrinkles or sliding around.
For both a standalone sunscreen and with makeup I give the Healthy Skin Lab Protect sunscreen a five out of five!
2026 SUNSCREEN ROUNDUP
Below I’ve categorizes the sunscreens based on the main problem I had with them, and then ordered them from worst to best within those categories. If there is a sunscreen you’re curious about that isn’t here, I’ve most likely reviewed it already, and it can be found in My Sunscreen Testing Playlist.
STRONG WHITE CAST
A common issue with mineral sunscreens is that they leave a strong white cast on the skin due to the high amounts of Zinc Oxide in the formula. White cast is impossible to ignore and difficult to cover up, so if a sunscreen leaves a strong white cast I don’t even bother trying it under makeup. For me white cast is a non-negotiable and I will not continue using a sunscreen that leaves me with one.
Freaks of Nature Peak Performance Sunscreen SPF 50
The Freaks of Nature Peak Performance Sunscreen is an SPF 50 white cream that feels heavy and greasy going on. I tried to do a little experiment where instead of putting it all on at once, I applied it in smaller layers, with the hope it wouldn’t give as strong a white cast. So, I applied the sunscreen in two separate layers – the first layer gave a fairly strong white cast and after the second layer the white cast was very strong. This one, after 20 minutes, it didn’t change at all. So, as a standalone sunscreen, I gave this zero out of five stars.
- Price Point: $38 for 1.7 oz. ($22.35/oz)
- Active Ingredients: 18.75% Zinc Oxide, 4.75% Titanium Dioxide
- Hydrating: Yes
- White Cast: Yes
- Greasy Feeling: Yes
- Water Resistant: 80 Minutes
- Additional Points: Cruelty Free, Fragrance Free, Reef Safe, Vegan
- Set Back: Very Strong White Cast, Clings to Hair, Doesn’t Rub in Well
- Where to Buy: Amazon

Shiseido Mineral Clear Sunscreen SPF 50
The Shiseido Urban Environment Mineral Clear Sunscreen is an SPF 50, making it an upgrade from the previous version, which was an SPF 42. This sunscreen is a very runny white liquid that feels lightweight similar to skin care going on. It uses a newer zinc oxide technology that is supposed to transform from sheer to clear during application. However, I found it does leave a slight white cast, rubs in unevenly, and feels fairly sticky and greasy.
After 20 minutes, the white cast does settle in a little bit, but not enough for me. Plus, it settles into all my wrinkles, especially my neck wrinkles. After an hour it still felt tacky and overall heavy on my skin. For me, it wasn’t wearable on its own so I didn’t try it under makeup. As a standalone sunscreen I give the Shiseido Mineral Clear Sunscreen a zero out of five stars.
- Price Point: $39 for 1 oz.
- Active Ingredients: 17.2% Zinc Oxide, 4.5% Titanium Dioxide
- Hydrating: Yes
- White Cast: Yes
- Greasy Feeling: Yes
- Water Resistant: 40 Minutes
- Additional Points: Fragrance Free, Paraben Free, Non-comedogenic
- Set Back: White Cast, Settles in Wrinkles, Heavy feeling
- Where to Buy: Ulta, Amazon

Project Reef Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50
The last sunscreen in the white cast category is Project Reef Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50, which is a white cream that feels thick and greasy, similar to butter. While not as strong as the previous sunscreens, it does leave a white cast on the skin and is very, very shiny. After 20 minutes, it stayed exactly the same, white, greasy, and shiny.
It also settled into my neck wrinkles, which is a big no for me. Project Reef advertises that this is a reef safe sunscreen, but it contains Butyloctyl Salicylate, which is actually damaging to reefs causing long-lasting harm to marine ecosystems. The Project Reef Mineral Sunscreen sunscreen also gets a zero out of five from me.
- Price Point: $26 for 3.4 oz. ($7.64/oz)
- Active Ingredients: 19.6% Non-nano Zinc Oxide, Butyloctyl Salicylate (SPF Booster)
- Hydrating: Yes
- White Cast: Yes
- Greasy Feeling: Yes
- Water Resistant: 80 Minutes
- Additional Points: Cruelty Free, Vegan, Sustainable
- Set Back: White Cast, Settles in Wrinkles, Heavy feeling
- Where to Buy: Amazon

ORANGE CAST
One way mineral sunscreen companies try to counteract the white cast is by making the product tinted. When executed correctly this a great solution, however there are times when the tint is too heavy and leaves what I call an orange cast on the skin.
Avene Multi-Defense Fluid SPF 50
The first sunscreen in the orange cast category is the Avene Multi-Defense Fluid SPF 50. This is a tinted, runny liquid that feels like a lightweight lotion. It rubs in easily, but goes on very splotchy and very unevenly. This sunscreen only comes in one shade, which is way too warm/dark for my skin tone. I can see it working for people with darker skin tones. Aside from the color, the other reason that I can’t recommend this one is because it never dries back. Even after 20 minutes it was coming off on everything and just sitting on top of my skin. In my opinion this is another zero out of five standalone sunscreen.
- Price Point: $38 for 1.3 oz. ($29.23/oz)
- Active Ingredients: 12% Zinc Oxide, Tridecyl Salicylate (SPF Booster)
- Hydrating: Somewhat
- Orange Cast: Yes
- Greasy Feeling: Yes
- Water Resistant: 40 Minutes
- Additional Points: Fragrance Free, Paraben Free, Sustainable
- Set Back: Orange Cast, Doesn’t Dry Back
- Where to Buy: Ulta, Amazon

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Tinted Mineral Sunscreen SPF 40
Next up is the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Tinted Mineral Sunscreen SPF 40. This is a lightweight, runny liquid that feels great going on, but the shade is just so dark and orange on me even though I got the lightest one. Just from looking at the bottle it’s pretty obvious that this shade is too dark for me, but I still wanted to try it and show you what it looks like on. If you have darker skin, this could be a beautiful sunscreen on you. I previously tested the La Roche Posay SPF 50 Tinted Mineral Sunscreen which I really like the tint of but it doesn’t have Zinc Oxide and therefor not enough UVA coverage. I would love to see the shade from that sunscreen with the formula of the Anthelios SPF 40 because I do think it is nice just too dark for me.
- Price Point: $42.99 for 1.7 oz. ($25.28/oz)
- Active Ingredients: 8% Zinc Oxide, 17% Titanium Dioxide, Butyloctyl Salicylate (SPF Booster)
- Hydrating: Yes
- Orange Cast: Yes
- Greasy Feeling: Yes
- Water Resistant: 40 Minutes
- Additional Points: Fragrance Free, Paraben Free, Non-comedogenic, Vegan, 3 Shades
- Set Back: Orange Cast, Doesn’t Dry Back
- Where to Buy: Ulta, Amazon

SETTLES IN WRINKLES
A big problem for us with mature skin is that products, whether it’s sunscreen, skincare, or makeup, tend to settle into our wrinkles. The next three sunscreens settled into my wrinkles excessively, to the point where it wasn’t even worth it to test them under makeup.
First in our wrinkle settling category is the PUR 4-In-1 Skin Tint SPF 50. This is a runny tinted liquid that is heavily pigmented but feels pretty moisturizing and lightweight going on. It’s not sticky, but you do have to pay attention because the tint can be a little patchy if you don’t blend it out perfectly.
The shade is good and hides any white cast, but it does cling a little bit to face hair. Immediately after application it settled into every wrinkle on my face and neck, making them very visible. While it did feel slightly drier after 20 minutes, it was still pretty wet and came off on everything. I gave the PUR 4-In-1 Skin Tint a zero out of five for a standalone sunscreen.
- Price Point: $42 for 1 oz.
- Active Ingredients: 12% Non-nano Zinc Oxide, Butyloctyl Salicylate (SPF Booster)
- Hydrating: Yes
- White Cast: No
- Greasy Feeling: No
- Water Resistant: 80 Minutes
- Additional Points: Fragrance Free, Cruelty Free, 8 Shades
- Set Back: Clings to Hair, Settles in Wrinkles, Doesn’t Dry Back
- Where to Buy: Ulta, Amazon

Axis-Y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA++++
Next up is the Axis-Y Complete No-Stress Physical Sunscreen SPF 50+ PA++++. The SPF number is for UVB ray protection and the PA number is for UVA ray protection, with four pluses being the highest UVA rating.
This is a white, medium weight lotion that feels nice going on, but has a very strong white cast. It sticks to hair and it immediately settles into every wrinkle, especially my neck wrinkles. This is not wearable on its own for me, so I gave it a zero out of five as a standalone sunscreen.
- Price Point: $36 for 1.69 oz. ($21.30/oz)
- Active Ingredients: 17% Zinc Oxide, Butyloctyl Salicylate (SPF Booster)
- Hydrating: Yes
- White Cast: Yes
- Greasy Feeling: No
- Water Resistant: No
- Additional Points: Fragrance Free, Cruelty Free, Vegan
- Set Back: Clings to Hair, Settles in Wrinkles
- Where to Buy: Ulta, Amazon

Naeli Anti-Aging Tinted Moisturizer SPF 50
The last sunscreen in this category is the Naeli Anti-Aging Tinted Moisturizer SPF 50 sunscreen. This is a very pigmented, thick formula that goes on super streaky. You have to really pay close attention when you’re applying it because the application is just very uneven, especially around the edges and the hairline.
The tint is a little warm/dark for me and it settles into wrinkles, including my neck wrinkles. After 20 minutes this one also doesn’t dry back and still feels heavy and greasy when I touch it. It comes off on my fingers and so, this one gets a zero out of five.
- Price Point: $32 for 1.4 oz. ($22.85/oz)
- Active Ingredients: 18% Non-nano Zinc Oxide, Butyloctyl Salicylate (SPF Booster)
- Hydrating: Yes
- White Cast: No
- Greasy Feeling: Yes
- Water Resistant: Yes (Time Frame Not Stated)
- Additional Points: Cruelty Free, Fragrance Free, Paraben Free, Vegan, 3 Shades
- Set Back: Uneven Application, Settles in Wrinkles, Doesn’t Dry Back
- Where to Buy: Amazon

OVERPOWERING SMELL
I have always been someone that is very sensitive to scents, so when purchasing any product I try my best to make sure it’s fragrance free. If the smell is too much and lingers on my skin the sunscreen is unwearable for me, but it could still work for you if you’re not bothered by scents.
Ranavat Brightening Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50+
The first heavily fragranced sunscreen is the Ranavat Brightening Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50+. This is a runny, tinted liquid that feels like a lightweight oil going on, but does leave a slight white cast. The finish on this one is super shiny and greasy, which also does not dissipate after 20 minutes. To me, because fragrance is subjective, this one smells like a combination of rotting bananas and lighter fluid. It also clings to face fur, looks streaky, and just left my face feeling wet, oily, and greasy. Even if it was fragrance free I give this a zero out of five as it’s completely unwearable.
- Price Point: $65 for 1.7 oz. ($38.23/oz)
- Active Ingredients: 12.3% Zinc Oxide, Butyloctyl Salicylate & Ethylhexyl Methoxycrylene (SPF Boosters)
- Hydrating: Yes
- White Cast: Slight
- Greasy Feeling: Yes
- Water Resistant: No
- Additional Points: Cruelty Free, 3 Shades
- Set Back: Heavy/Unpleasant Fragrance, Clings to Hair, Doesn’t Dry Back
- Where to Buy: Sephora

Clean + Kind Face & Body Tallow Sunscreen SPF 50
Next is the Clean + Kind Face & Body Tallow Sunscreen SPF 50 for face and body. This is a fluffy white cream that feels like buttercream frosting going on the skin. It glides over the skin nicely, but it does feel super greasy and it gave a super shiny finish. It has surprisingly little white cast considering the forumla contains 25% Zinc Oxide. It smells like a candy necklace which isn’t necessarily bad, but it was so strong in an attempt to cover up the tallow smell. I found that my hair was really sticking to it and after 20 minutes of dry back, it was looking really streaky and spotty. When I looked at it in my 30X mirror, I could see little tiny white specks all over my face. For me this was not a great fit, but if you have super dry skin, and love tallow products, then this could be a great sunscreen for you. I rated this a one out of five as a standalone sunscreen.
- Price Point: $25.99 for 3.4 oz. ($7.64/oz)
- Active Ingredients: 25% Non-nano Zinc Oxide
- Hydrating: Yes
- White Cast: Very Slight
- Greasy Feeling: Yes
- Water Resistant: No
- Additional Points: Reef Safe
- Set Back: Strong Fragrance, Clings to Hair, Sat in Pores
- Where to Buy: Amazon

GOOD ON ITS OWN, BUT NOT UNDER MAKEUP
It’s always great when you finally find a sunscreen you really like, but it’s important that the sunscreen can also wear well under your makeup! While these next few sunscreens showed a lot of promise, they unfortunately did not pass the makeup test.
Kiehl’s Miner-All UV Serum SPF 50+
First up is the Kiehl’s Miner-All UV Serum SPF 50+, which is a white runny liquid that feels like an emollient skin care serum going on. My skin felt slightly tacky when first applied and it surprisingly had a little white cast. After 20 minutes of dry back, this one was still slightly tacky, but my skin felt moisturized, and not oily, greasy, or sticky. I felt like I could wear this as a regular everyday sunscreen, so I did go ahead and put makeup on over it.
- Price Point: $22 for 0.5 oz. ($44/oz) or $36 for 1.4 oz. (25.71/oz)
- Active Ingredients: 15.35% Zinc Oxide, 2.66% Titanium Dioxide, Ethylhexyl Methoxycrylene (SPF Boosters)
- Hydrating: No
- White Cast: Slight
- Greasy Feeling: No
- Water Resistant: No
- Additional Points: Fragrance Free
- Set Back: Very Drying, Makeup Wore Off
- Where to Buy: Sephora

At first I thought it played really nicely with the makeup – there was very little settling in wrinkles and the makeup overall looked really nice.
4-hour Check-in: I was already not loving it – about 2 hours into wearing it, it was feeling quite drying and had kicked up a few skin flakes on my forehead. It looked fine from a distance, but taking a closer look it was already starting to wear off on my nose and above my brows.
8 hour Check-in: Fairly worn off all over, but kind of in an even way, not really patchy. It didn’t look terrible, but I did notice that it had been coming off under my nails all day long. It was getting a bit shiny while feeling so drying and I really couldn’t wait to wash my face.
For a standalone sunscreen I gave the Kiel’s Miner sunscreen a three out of five, and with makeup a two out of five.
Jones Road Everyday Sunscreen SPF 30
Next was the Jones Road Everyday Sunscreen SPF 30 which was sent to me by Jones Road, making it the only sunscreen I didn’t purchase myself. This is a tinted sunscreen with a lotion texture that rubs in easily but feels slippery, wet, and a little bit oily going on the skin. It comes in 5 shades and the shade I tried is called Sandy. I found that the tint covers any white cast and evened my skin tone a bit, without looking like a heavy pigmented makeup. After 20 minutes of dry back, I felt like this was still fairly oily and wet on my skin, giving a very shiny appearance. Up close it looked like I had tiny speckles on my forehead, and it just wasn’t sitting quite right on my skin .
- Price Point: $42 for 1.69 oz. ($24.85/oz)
- Active Ingredients: 15.9% Zinc Oxide, Butyloctyl Salicylate (SPF Boosters)
- Hydrating: Yes
- White Cast: No
- Greasy Feeling: Slightly
- Water Resistant: No
- Additional Points: Non-comedogenic, 5 Shades
- Set Back: Oily Feeling, Very Shiny, Wore Off
- Where to Buy: Jones Road Beauty

I tried it with makeup, mainly for the people with drier skin who are interested in this sunscreen. The luminosity from the shine did come through the foundation, so I did have to add setting powder over it. The makeup went on really well over this sunscreen and overall it looked really nice.
4-hour Check-in: I thought it looked really good from a distance. It had very little settling into wrinkles, but it had started to wear off a little bit on my nose.
8 hour Check-in: The makeup was very worn off and very shiny in my T-zone. For me, it felt oily on my skin all day and never fully dried back. I wouldn’t reach for it, but dry skin types might like it a lot, especially if it absorbs into your skin more.
For both a standalone sunscreen and with makeup I rated the Jones Road sunscreen a three out of five.
EltaMD UV Skin Recovery SPF 50
The last sunscreen in this category is the EltaMD UV Skin Recovery SPF 50 which uses the same transparent Zinc Oxide technology as the Shiseido sunscreen. This is an off-white lotion with a slight tannish-green tint. It looks white going on, but rubs in almost clear, leaving only the slightest white cast. It feels like skin care going on – moisturizing, not tacky or sticky. After 20 minutes of dry back it felt the same, which is to say that it wasn’t tacky or greasy feeling. It had a soft, luminous finish with the slightest white cast.
- Price Point: $50 for 1.7 oz. ($29.41/oz)
- Active Ingredients: 12.9% Zinc Oxide, Butyloctyl Salicylate (SPF Boosters)
- Hydrating: On Application; Drying Throughout the Day
- White Cast: Very Slight
- Greasy Feeling: No
- Water Resistant: No
- Additional Points: Fragrance Free, Paraben Free, Non-comedogenic
- Set Back: Drying, Skin Looked Textured, Wore Off
- Where to Buy: Amazon

I was really wowed when I first put makeup on over this sunscreen. The makeup went on over this super beautifully, looking smooth and skin-like. It almost acts like a primer and made the makeup feel dry and set. There was minimal settling into wrinkles, and I just thought it looked great.
4-hour Check-in: I thought it looked fine from a distance, but it was wearing off on my nose and between my eyebrows already, and it was looking a little bit shiny in my T-zone.
8-hour Check-in: I was not as excited about this sunscreen anymore. The foundation was very worn off everywhere and it felt so drying throughout the day. I thought my skin looked very textured every time I saw myself – it was mottled on my forehead and giving polka dot pores everywhere else.
For both a standalone sunscreen and with makeup I rated the EltaMD UV sunscreen a three out of five.
WINNERS!
This year it was a toss-up between two sunscreens and I really couldn’t decide on one definite winner. While both these sunscreens are great and I recommend them, unfortunately neither are of holy grail status.
First one is the Tower28 SOS Face Guard SPF 30 which is a tinted lotion that glides over the skin and rubs in super easily. The tint isn’t super heavily pigmented, so it doesn’t really give any coverage, but it looks very natural on the skin. The tint is mainly there to hide any white cast, which it does very effectively. This feels very much like skin care going on, and gives the skin a hydrated look. It does have a little bit of tackiness to it when first applied, but it doesn’t feel heavy, greasy, oily, or wet.
- Price Point: $32 for 1.69 oz. ($18.93/oz)
- Active Ingredients: 12.5% Zinc Oxide, Butyloctyl Salicylate (SPF Boosters)
- Hydrating: Yes
- White Cast: No
- Greasy Feeling: No
- Water Resistant: 40 Minutes
- Additional Points: Cruelty Free, Fragrance Free
- Set Back: Shortens the Wear Time of Foundation
- Where to Buy: Sephora

Foundation goes on over this sunscreen really nicely, and while it did settle into wrinkles it was the usual small amount that can’t be avoided.
4-hour Check-in: I thought the makeup still looked good with only a little bit of wearing off on my chin, above my eyebrows, and on the bottom part of my nose, but it wasn’t getting shiny, which was good.
8-hour Check-in: The makeup was very worn off on my nose, chin, cheeks, above my eyebrows, and was shiny in my T-zone. It was also giving me polka dot pores on my cheeks and chin. So, this definitely shortens the wear of foundation, but it didn’t feel drying to wear throughout the day.
For a standalone sunscreen I rated the Tower28 sunscreen a four out of five, and with makeup a three out of five.
CeraVe Invisible Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50
The last sunscreen for the 2026 sunscreen testing is the CeraVe Invisible Mineral Sunscreen SPF 50. This is a brand new sunscreen and like all CeraVe products it contains ceramides, niacinamide, and hyaluronic acid. This is a very light green runny lotion that leaves a very minimal white cast. It rubs in very easily and feels like a lightweight, emollient lotion going on. It does have a fairly shiny finish, it’s good around hair, and doesn’t have a thick or greasy feeling. After 20 minutes, it dries back and doesn’t feel sticky or heavy on the skin and there was no settling into wrinkles.
- Price Point: $16.99 for 1.62 oz. ($10.48/oz)
- Active Ingredients: 15.35% Zinc Oxide, 2.66% Titanium Dioxide, Ethylhexyl Methoxycrylene (SPF Boosters)
- Hydrating: On Application; Drying on Chin
- White Cast: Very Slight
- Greasy Feeling: No
- Water Resistant: No
- Additional Points: Fragrance Free, Non-comedogenic
- Set Back: Wore Off
- Where to Buy: Ulta, Amazon

Makeup goes on over this really well and the radiance does come through a little bit. After applying the foundation over it I noticed it reduced the amount of settling in wrinkles that I would normally get, which was awesome.
4-hour Check-in: I thought the makeup was still in place and looking good from a distance wear-wise. Up close, I thought it looked good, not fantastic. It was still mainly in place for most of my face, only showing very, very slight bits of wear. It still wasn’t settling into wrinkles.
8 hour Check-in: I could see from a distance that it was really worn off on my nose and chin, but it was in place on my forehead and cheeks. It wasn’t sliding around, getting super shiny, or settling into wrinkles. However, this felt a little bit drying around my chin at the end of the day, so be aware if you have dry skin that this might not be the sunscreen for you.
For both a standalone sunscreen and with makeup I rated the CeraVe Sunscreen a four out of five.
