Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream Review
Part of the fun of being a beauty blogger is that on occasion companies send products for me to test and review. I recently received a really fun package from a marketing company representing Olay. The box contained a gold lamé backpack filled with 80s themed goodies to promote Olay’s re-formulated Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream.
This cream has been a favorite of mine for years, so it wasn’t a struggle to work it into my routine, I just hope the reformulation hasn’t changed the lovely texture and moisturization I’ve come to expect.
The new formula contains new ingredients including Olivem, Niacinamide, Pal-KTTS, Lys’lastine, Glycerin, and Hyaluronic Acid which Olay refers to as “Skin Energizing Technology” which will make skin act younger. They claim this cream will deliver it’s anti-aging ingredients deeper into the skin, improve skin’s hydration and elasticity, boost skin’s surface renewal, and reverse 10 years of wrinkle appearance in 4 weeks!!! Wow.
I’ve only been using it for 3 days, so I can’t tell yet if there’s any wrinkle reduction, but I can say that the texture and feel are the same as the original (it’s a very thick cream that spreads easily and leaves no greasy residue). It’s also just as hydrating as the old formula. I use this at night, after my retin-a and when I get up in the morning, my face feels soft to the touch and deeply moisturized.
Only time will tell if the other claims are true too, but in the mean time, I’m pleased that Olay has removed most of the silicones and replaced them with promising anti-aging active ingredients.
Retail price for 1.7 oz. jar is around $25, but I buy mine at Costco where a 2-pack is $30.
