Reduce Under Eye Bags, Puffiness, & Dark Circles!
I recently received two new products for helping with under eye problems like puffiness, dark circles. One is Olay Regenerist Luminous Dark Circle Correcting Hydraswirl which is a treatment that promises to reduce darkness and puffiness over time. The other is IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Corrector Concentrate Cream which promises to disguise under eye darkness. I’m hoping the combination of the two will really work to to the test to see if they reduce under eye bags, puffiness & dark circles!
It would have been pointless for me to try them because while I have plenty of wrinkles under there, I don’t have too much puffiness or dark circles! I asked a friend who does have those issues to test the products for me. As a reward for taking the time to test them and appearing on camera, she gets to keep the products if she likes them. She used each product daily for 45 days and while her under eyes weren’t perfect, there was quite a bit of improvement!
Olay Regenerist Luminous Dark Circle Correcting Hydraswirl ~ $30 for .5 oz.
This promises to instantly reduce dark circles, regenerate skin surface around the eyes in 5 days, and visibly diminish discoloration in 8 weeks. This comes in an airtight pump dispenser so the ingredients stay fresh and stable. It contains niacinamide (vitamins B3 & B5), collagen, hyaluronic acid, vitamin e and amino peptides.
While my friend didn’t see an instant reduction in dark circles, she did say she saw a slight reduction immediately. She felt an increase in moisture and she started noticing a difference in the quality of her skin after the first week of use. She loved the feel of the product, saying it felt velvety and satiny smooth. She also said that people started noticing an improvement and commented on it. She also noticed that her skin looked dewey and more moisturized longer so she didn’t look as tired at the end of the day.
Here are the before and after pictures using just the Olay product:
IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Corrector Concentrate Cream ~ $29 for .17 oz.
This claims to be “8 hours of sleep in a jar”, and to effectively neutralize and erase the look of darkness and dark circles and age spots. This is a corrector, not a concealer, so it’s lighter weight, but more pigmented than a concealer. It works by using color to cancel out the purple/green tones in the skin. I love the packaging on this because you can get out a tiny amount and not waste so much product with all those wands and brushes they usually come with. This contains green coffee extract, cucumber, aloe, avocado, niacin, hyaluronic acid, peptides, and hydrolyzed collagen. Available in 3 shades.
Our tester also found this product to be very moisturizing. She said it blends seamlessly so you don’t have that overly bright “concealed” look. She felt it was long lasting and very natural looking, saying it was not at all cakey.
Here are the before & after pictures using the IT Cosmetics product:
Our tester also mentioned that she has sensitive eyes and didn’t have a reaction to either of these products. I was blown away by the IT corrector the very first day that she used it when we were taking the before pictures! I knew for sure she loved the products when I kept looking for them to show in the video and she had already put them back in her purse to take home! There was no way she was leaving them with me!! They look so good, I’m going to have to buy them now…
