Reward Style Conference 2019 | What It Is, What I Learned, What I Wore
A few weeks ago I attended a blogger conference called rStheCon 2019! I did a flurry of posts from the conference on Instagram (follow me here), and got so many questions about it that I wanted to answer them all here!
Reward Style is a company founded by a fashion blogger & her husband to help bloggers earn a living doing what they love. In essence, it’s an affiliate linking service that allows content creators to link to merchandise websites so the blogger can earn commission from sales they drive to the merchants.
So when you see links to products below my videos, or pictures in my blog posts that you can click on to shop, those are usually affiliate links that I’m able to create through Reward Style.

The Reward Style Conference is an invitation only conference held every April in Dallas Texas for rewardStyle’s top performers. This is the 3rd year I’ve been invited to attend and the 2nd time I went.

Most of the attendees are fashion bloggers or Instagrammers but there are a few of us YouTubers there every year! For me, connecting with my YouTube friends and meeting other influencers are my favorite parts of the conference but of course, it’s also a chance to learn in the classroom sessions, get help from tech support, and discover new brands at the brand hall.
Day 1
I arrived in Dallas on Thursday afternoon (hello gorgeous Dallas weather), checked into my room at the hotel and went over to the Brand Hall to check out the spring offerings from some of my favorite brands and stores!

The conference kicked off with an evening pool party hosted by Sole Society! This is one of my favorite events at the conference because it’s a gorgeous setting and so much fun catching up with old friends and enjoying the Dallas sunshine (coated with sunscreen of course)!

Day 2
We start the day with opening ceremonies and presentations on the main stage that are informational and insprational! There’s always a nice breakfast provided and today it was an oatmeal buffet with all the fixins, muffins & coffee or tea.

One interesting tidbit was that 2018 was the first year that
online shopping surpassed brick & mortar.
The morning session runs from 9-12 and right after we were treated to a gorgeous lunch by Mary Kay!

In the afternoon each content creator has a different schedule consisting of either free time, brand meetings, or classroom sessions. I had a little free time before my classroom session so I went back to the brand hall to check out more of the spring offerings from some of my favorite stores.

The Colleen Rothschild booth had hairstylists braiding hair to announce the launch of their new hair care kit! I took home a Quench Smooth & Shine set to try (it’s really good, check out my post here) and also got a cute braid!

I had a couple of classes in the afternoon that really inspired me and provided tons of great ideas on how I can improve my blog and Instagram feed!

This class was on how to make your brand a “household name”!
The evening party was hosted by eBay and they had this fun photo booth set up so the “YouTubers” all got together for a pic!

After the party a big group of us went to dinner at a mexican restaurant in downtown Dallas.

Day 3
The last day of the conference started off with avocado toast & eggs for breakfast and attending a couple more classroom sessions.
Lunch was hosted by JC Penny & after lunch I had brand meetings with Elemis and eBay. The brand meetings are kind of like speed dating with specific brands to see if they’d be a good fit with my audience. I wanted to look professional so I wore this beautiful navy dress with asymetrical buttons down the front.

I had a little free time in the afternoon so I went back to my room and put up an Instagram post and caught up with my YouTube video comments from the day before.
I had dinner with Marnie, Lisa, Lisa, & Amanda at Nobu in the hotel lobby before going back to their room to get ready for the final night’s big party… we got talking and decided to stay in our cozy sweats and ended up skipping the party.
The next morning I got up early to head to the airport and said goodbye to Dallas for another year. I always leave the conference so inspired and refreshed and excited to create new content!
I also leave there filled with gratitude for my viewers who so generously share their time with me every day and across all the various platforms, and who make a trip like this possible. Your support means the world to me and I appreciate you all more than you’ll ever know! xo ~angie
