Welcome to my spring lookbook for 2026! Whether you’re over 40, over 50, over 60, over 70, over 80, or over 90, clothes are meant to be fun and you can wear what you want! My goal is to help you find pieces that not only fit your style, but also make you feel like the best you possible. So, this lookbook can be used in a number of ways. One way is you can shop this post, everything is in stock and all the links will be provided below. I’ve also listed my sizing information, the size I take each item in, and whether I think it runs large or small, so you can decide what size is best for you. Another way is to shop your own closet and put together new outfits with the pieces you already have. If you like the look of a certain outfit on me and want to recreate it, you can always find similar pieces already in your wardrobe and then purchase one item to complete the outfit. Whichever way you decide to use it, I hope you enjoy this lookbook as much as I enjoyed making it (which was a lot!)
OUTFIT 1
The first outfit starts with an adorable crocheted t-shirt that has a square scoop neckline and a cap sleeve. I layer this shirt with the most comfortable tank top underneath it since the holes of the crochet make it somewhat see-through. The dark wash jeans in this outfit are one of my favorite pairs and I was so happy to see that these weren’t discontinued. The patch pockets are such a cute detail and the wide leg style is so elongating.
The shoe that I have on with this outfit are another favorite of mine, the Sorel platform sandal. The thick sole makes these shoes so squishy and comfortable, and even though they appear clunky they’re surprisingly very lightweight. For those days that are a little bit chillier, I added a lightweight buttoned blazer to the outfit. This jacket is made from a cotton, almost linen, material and it’s so cute with its big brass buttons and tulip hem.
I also added a silky scarf to the outfit which I wore tight around my neck, but it could also be worn loosely or even as a belt. I really love all the colors in this scarf and it’s just a terrific accessory to have. Lastly, I accessorized with a woven faux suede tote bag that comes with both a short and a long handle.
OUTFIT 2
For the second outfit I used the same pair of blue wash jeans, but dressed them up with a silky leopard chamisole and a really pretty white blazer. I think this is great for if you’re going to lunch, a business meeting, or even out for date night. The top is stretch washable silk and I really love the leopard pattern.
A lot of times people think they have to wear a more fitted or cropped top with wide leg jeans, but wearing an oversized top can be just as fashionable. I picked up this oversized white tweed fabric blazer with gold buttons and I love how it looks with the jeans. It’s so flattering when it’s unbuttoned because it creates a narrowing illusion and brings your waistline in.
I paired a clear strap sandal with this outfit, and I think the kitten heel of these shoes really elevated the look. When it came to accessorizing this outfit, I added my oversized sunglasses that I wear all the time. Not only are they super affordable, they’re also virtually indestructible. The last item in this outfit is a leather handbag that is essentially a smaller version of the tote bag from outfit 1. It’s really cute and the perfect size to hold everything for an evening out.
OUTFIT 3
The next outfit is much more casual for everyday wear, running your errands, or just hanging out. The top is an open knit short sleeve sweater that is similar to the shirt from outfit 1, but it’s less fitted and also less money. It’s a cute top with a simple dotted pattern around the collar and sleeves, and a rib knit style for the rest of the shirt.
The pants are the blue straight leg jeans from Quince and the wash I’m wearing in this outfit is called Twilight Blue Fray. Something I love about Quince is that you can pick your inseam, I went with the 30-in inseam on these so I can cuff them at the bottom. These jeans are a little bit stretchy so if you’re between sizes I would size down. Then the shoe I have on with this outfit are a really cute pair of suede Espadrille Mary Janes. The sole of the shoe is padded, and these are a great alternative if you’re tired of wearing sneakers every day.
Since New England spring can be unpredictable, I have to have a jacket to put on in case of any unexpected rain. So, I found a really cute cropped trench coat that was so fun to style with this outfit. The fabric feels really nice and it’s slightly oversized, making it great for layering with all your spring outfits. I also added a blue scarf because some days can be quite chilly, so I love to have a scarf to wrap around my neck. It’s very boho looking with tassels and little wooden and gold beads. It really pulls your outfit together and makes it look a little bit more intentional.
OUTFIT 4
I feel like I can’t do a spring lookbook without a gorgeous cotton layering shirt. So, I centered outfit four around a beautiful pink gauzy cotton blouse. This shirt comes in a lot of different colors, but I love the salmon because it just screams spring to me. It’s the perfect length and weight, so you can throw it on and your outfit instantly looks pulled together. Underneath, I have a simple white v-neck t-shirt, which is just perfect for layering.
I coupled the shirts with a pair of wide leg light wash jeans. These are my favorite for a more informal look, but I know the price point on these is a bit elevated. Luckily Levi’s makes a pair that are very similar, come in a bunch of washes, and cost a lot less that I’ll link below. I added the black & white Sorel sandals from Outfit 1 to complete this look.
OUTFIT 5
With outfit number five I wanted to focus in on one of the trends this year – pastel colors. So I found a pastel lavender cardigan in a shorter sleeve that would be good for the warmer weather. I love the little covered knit buttons on here and the material of the sweater is so soft. Underneath it, I’m wearing the same holy grail tank top that I have on in outfit 1.
The pants I paired with the sweater are white straight leg jeans from Good American. They’re a mid-rise so they’re not too high or too low at the waist. The denim is a little bit stretchy, so they hugs your curves without being super tight. The shoes that I have on with this outfit are a pair of grey suede Adidas sneakers. These sneakers comes in so many other colors that everyone can find a pair that fits their style. Adidas also has really good arch support making these some of the most comfortable shoes I own.
OUTFIT 6
Outfits 6 through 8 are basically three variations of the same theme – a short sleeve sweater, patch pocket pants, and accessories to go with. So, the sixth outfit starts with a bright green sweater with a really cute V-pattern sewn into it. I just love this color green for spring, but I got this in a really pretty hot pink color too. It’s a bit long and boxy, so it can be worn it a half tuck, untucked, or completely tucked in.
The pants for this outfit are an off-white cotton linen blend patch pocket pant. These do have a bit of stretch to them so if you’re between sizes I recommend sizing down. Then the shoes I decided to pair with this are the little suede Mary Jane Espadrilles again.
I don’t have a picture of it, but I tried the silky scarf with this outfit a few different ways. First, I put it on as a belt with the pants and I really liked how that looked. Then, I took it off and tied the scarf around my neck a couple different ways. I also tried adding a really pretty oval buckle belt to the outfit for a more polished look (you can see these at 13:00 in the video above).
OUTFIT 7
For outfit seven, I swapped out the green sweater for a blue open knit sweater vest. This one is a little bit more bulky than the previous one, so while the front tuck and untucked work it’s too much material to tuck all the way in.
The pants I wore with this are a pair of 100% linen trousers. They also have the patch pocket and the styling of these pants is just a little bit more casual. For this outfit I put on a pair of black kitten heel flip flops. Because the heel on these is so low, they are so comfortable and I feel like I’m going to be wearing these with everything this summer.
OUTFIT 8
Outfit number eight is an elevated version of the two previous looks. The top is a cotton cashmere short sleeve sweater with a scoop neck and a little bit of a dolman shape. The fabric is really soft and a perfect weight for a spring sweater.
The pair of white wide leg pants for this outfit are actually the least expensive of all of the patch pocket pants. The fabric has no natural fibers, but I thought that they were really flattering because of the cropped length. To elevate this outfit a little bit more, I put on the clear strap kitten heel sandals.
OUTFIT 9
When I’m shopping for the lookbook, there are always a few looks that I have in mind, but once in a while there’s something that catches my eye and I’m like, “Oh my god, I just love that!” That’s what happened with the beautiful lavender peplum jacket in outfit nine. It’s kind of a cross between a denim jacket and a trench coat, but in a lightweight linen. This would be great for a bridal shower, a baby shower, a spring lunch, or a spring day out shopping.
Underneath the jacket, I have my staple plain white t-shirt that I layer with just about everything. The bottoms I have for this outfit are the Levi’s wide leg jeans that I mentioned are a dupe for the jeans in outfit 4. These do have a little bit lower of a rise, but they’re fitted through the hips, the legs flare out very nicely, and they’re a really good length. For shoes I once again added the clear strap sandals, which I think are becoming my shoe of the spring!
OUTFIT 10
With outfit 10 I’m introducing the first skirt of the spring 2026 lookbook! It’s an A-line denim skirt that I think is so much more fun than any traditional denim skirt I’ve seen. I love the detail of the pockets and the dark wash of the denim. I added a really funky silver buckle belt with the skirt, which is just beautiful and almost like a piece of art.
I paired the skirt with a navy blue and white striped t-shirt and I think they look really great together. I love how the shirt has a longer puff sleeve and that the fabric is kind of a cross between a sweater and a t-shirt. I wanted to keep this look casual, so just went with the flip-flop kitten heel for the shoe.
OUTFIT 11
Outfit 11 hits on two current trends – big wide floppy pants and monochrome dressing. I absolutely love the linen blend wide leg pants that I chose for this outfit. I love the inverted pleats on the front because they give the pants really pretty movement. They’re also fully lined so you’re not going to see your underwear through them.
I paired the pants with a really simple silk V-neck tank top and tried to get a color that matched the pants as close as possible. I think I did pretty good! This top is made from a beautiful washable silk and is also fully lined. I again paired the clear strap sandals with this look to bring it up a notch on the fancy scale.
OUTFIT 12
For outfit 12 I decided to go a little bit more dressed up, think going out for nighttime occasion in the city or to a fancy restaurant or event. So, starting at the top, I styled a really pretty black top with a gold accent. The accent is a gold ring on one shoulder that pulls the neckline over, giving this top a much more interesting shape. This shirt also has a slight cowl at the top and some ruching at the side.
The skirt in this outfit is a white and black leopard spotted skirt. What I like most about this skirt is that it’s fully lined, so it’s not staticky and it doesn’t show every bump and ripple around the more snug areas. It has an elastic waist making it super easy to put on and take off. I added a wide chunky belt to give the waistline a little more shape and make the overall outfit a bit more put together. This belt is super stretchy and overall a great accessory to have in your closet.
Since it can still be chilly during New England spring, I wanted to add something a little bit warmer given the rest of the outfit is so lightweight. I went with a faux leather jacket and I think this just gives this outfit so much more edge. It’s an oversized style with flap pockets in the front and slash pockets on the side. The shoes once again are the clear strap sandal, which I discovered go with just about everything while making this lookbook.
OUTFIT 13
Finally, outfit 13 is going to be an outfit for a special occasion like an anniversary date, a fancy vacation, or for attending a wedding. I picked out a beautiful brown and white polka dot dress. The flow, the drape, the fabric, and the fit of this dress are all just perfect. I love that this dress has a built-in scarf attached, I think it looked really nice wrapped around my neck and hanging down the back of the dress.
My only issue with this dress is that while the top half of the dress is lined the bottom half is not. The lining is like a built in bodysuit, so from the thighs down it’s all see-through. Luckily that problem was solved! I went online to find a solution and ended up ordering a two pack of satin slip shorts. These worked out so well, I put the black pair on under the dress and instantly felt so much more comfortable. And for the final time, I added the clear strap sandals to complete the look.
