Hi Angie!
I have put alot of your recommendations to use . I want to thank you for introducing me to Timeless products. I also am loving the Smashbox primer and Too Faced eyeshadow primer and shadows.
I am a huge fan of Eminence organics cleansing balm and stone crop wash for my double cleanse. You should try it;)

have you ever tried any Thrive Causmetic items? I’m reading about their lash-extensions mascara and they said it’s easy to remove with just warm water.

Thanks Angie! I have a similar routine and skin type. I too find that a balm works best for a first cleanse. I like the Clinique, but it does leave me feeling a little dry after. I have settled on the Body Shop sumptuous Chamomille Butter which is $16 for 2.7 ounces and often on sale.

Thank you for another fine review.

On a completely different subject, I was wondering if your sister embraces any of your anti-aging discoveries, and if so, what her results have been. It would be very interesting to hear if she has had similar results.

I have really enjoyed videos featuring family members. For example, Emily Noel featured her mother with an eyebrow product and Erin Busbee found outfits for her lovely Mom at Talbots. Nisha of Sugar Puff and Fluff posted a hilariously video a long time ago with her son doing her make up.

Of course, family members might not find this comfortable. It’s just an idea for your consideration.

Pond’s cold cream cleanser. Old-fashioned, but nothing better at getting stuff off. Use it with a microfiber face cloth and follow with Cerave.

Will definitely try the clinique cleanser but what the heck is up with the obnoxiously large jar packaging? Impossible to travel with and takes up all the space. Requires a spoon? I get they want to give a more luxe use experiance but really, give me a nice squeeze tube please.

I am looking forward to try Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover. The first ingredient is the pore clogging ethylene something (always forget spelling). Hopefully, as a cleanser and first step, it will not clog pores and cause a breakout.

As always, this is a thorough review. Have you tried any of the micellar waters? I am finishing up my first bottle, and not overwhelmingly impressed. I recently ended up with a spill of a popular long wearing foundation in my kitchen sink, and it took me a full 20 minutes to clean it up. Dish detergent, powder cleanser, and a lot of scrubbing later, I had ruined a pair of rubber gloves, and a scrubby pad. So, this is a timely video. I am done with the long wearing stuff forever, though!

  Hi Lisa~ I’m not big into micellar waters or cleansing towelettes so I didn’t include them in this round of testing (plus the video would have gone on for hours)!! I’ve tried a few micellar waters but like you have not been impressed plus I don’t like the ideal of leaving detergent on my face. xo ~angie

thanks for the review Ange, as I’m always looking for good makeup removers to add to my collection…I have just started using Clinique’s take the day off eye and lid remover, that replaced Neutrogena’s eye makeup remover after years of using it. I lke CeroVe for my double cleanse but also use Visual Changes gentle enzyme cleanser for the second cleanse. I just purchased Bliss makeup melt from Target and am liking it, too. Removing eye makeup is the challenge and I find Clinique’s the best as my eyes seem to be very sensitive lately.

Wondering if you have tried The Ordinary’s new sunscreens… saw an ad that they are here now?

Have you tried l’occitane oil make up remover. I’ve been using same bottle for over a year. Takes off everything for me but I don’t use anything waterproof. Love it no irritant or film.

Ahhh, I’ve wondered for a long time why you haven’t used a more efficacious 1st cleanse. The Clinique is wonderful. The other one that tops my list is DHC cleansing oil . I tend to alternate using these two as I feel like it. They are both equally good. The Caroline Hirons Duo for Pixi is also very good, but it annoys me that you can’t buy the components separately. The LRP Toleriane line is fabulous too, but I have to restrict myself to Dermo-Cleanse as niacinamide and I do not get along an it is in the cleanser you show.

Hi! I love the LaRoche Posay Toleraine Cleanser, and I find it is very good at removing makeup, however I can’t wear much in the way of eyeliners (I have Dry Eye). Have you ever tried it for cleaning makeup? It doesn’t sting my eyes at all, and easily removed my eye shadow and mascara.

With the Clinique Balm, do you still use the CeraVe also?

Baby shampoo is very gentle and very effective at removing eye makeup.

Thanks so much, Angie, for today’s video. I too have had difficulty removing all my makeup with Catave (using the Wonder Cloth, of course!). Usually there is residue on the cotton pad after using Thayer’s witch hazel.

I’ve used Clinique in the past, so I will definitely be purchasing Take the Day Off. Thanks for all of your great vidoes; I’m addicted!

Interested to know if Drunk Elephant Best cleaner and Glossier Milk Jelly cleanser were on your radar for this. I find the Drunk Elephant one pretty good for a first cleanse and you can even use it on your eyes to get the mascara.

OMG Angie, Thanks a lot for this Fantastic video. Yes I noticed that my beloved Cerave is not that good to dissolve my makeup. My face is super sensitive to all cleansers.
I just finish my Avene soothing cleanser for redness prone skin and it did fail as a makeup remover but it is so soothing.
Thank you for all your hard work and for describe the today makeup, I Love the idea so we don’t have to ask you what are you wearing on the video.
