It’s been a while since I’ve tried new makeup thanks to covid + mask wearing, but I received a big box of new makeup from L’Oreal Age Perfect in PR plus I bought the new Wayne Goss Eyeshadow Palette and the new Charlotte Tilbury Setting Spray so I thought I’d try it all on today and give you my thoughts on it!
L’Oreal sent the entire line of Age Perfect makeup including the Radiant Serum Foundation, Radiant Concealer, Creamy Powder Foundation, Radiant Satin Blush, Magnifying Brow Pencil, Anti-Feathering Lip Liner, Luminous Hydrating Lipstick, and Satin Lipstick with Precious Oils, and wanted me to do a series of 3 sponsored videos on the line but I wanted to try it to see if I liked it enough to collaborate with them.
My thoughts on each product after a 1 day wear test: (watch the video to see everything in action)!
I liked how the foundation looked when first applied! It looked natural and skin-like with a soft luminous finish. It did settle into wrinkles a bit but not in a really bad way. It wore pretty well but looked greasy & cakey by the end of the day.
The concealer felt hydrating under the eyes but is very luminous so I prefer it with setting powder. It didn’t settle into wrinkles very much. I liked it a lot and think it will work well for people with dry skin who like natural looking makeup!
I used a darker shade of the Creamy Powder Foundation as my bronzer today and I’ve used it a couple times as foundation over a tinted sunscreen. and liked it both ways.
L’Oreal Age Perfect Radiant Satin Blush in 415 Peony was one of my favorites from this try-on! The shade is really pretty and it goes on sheer so it looks natural and blends well. The satin finish is youthful but doesn’t accentuate pores!
The Magnifying Brow Pencil in Soft Brown was a little warm toned for me but it went on well and lasted all day.
I really love how easy the Wayne Goss Imperial Topaz Luxury Eyeshadow Palette was to blend and the shades are so pretty! It’s a very warm toned palette which isn’t my favorite for everyday but nevertheless the looks I’ve done with it are very pretty!
The Anti-Feathering Lip Liner in Bright Mocha was the major fail of the day. It didn’t keep the lipstick from feathering into my lip wrinkles so…
I loved the feel of the Satin Lipstick with Precious Oils in 216 Glowing Nude! It has a slippery, “oily” glide going on so it doesn’t tug on lips but it sets up to a great feeling lipstick. My lips felt dry by the end of the day but I’m not sure if it’s from the lipliner or the lipstick.
I sprayed one side of my face with Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Setting Spray and left the other side without and by the end of the day I thought the side with the setting spray had worn much much better! It also works great to make eyeliner out of eyeshadow that lasts all day!
